Manual APPLICATION 2UZ VVT-i WIRING

What you can Expect:

🔧 2UZ-FE VVT-i Manual Transmission

Professional Wiring Harness & ECU Services

We focus on transforming your factory 2UZ-FE VVT-i harness and ECU into a standalone, plug-and-play system. Our expertise ensures clean, reliable wiring and fully configured ECU programming—so you spend less time troubleshooting and more time driving.

⚙️ Wiring Harness Services

1. Complete Harness Cleaning & Refurbishment

  • Full disassembly, degreasing, and debris removal
  • Inspection and replacement of aged connectors (coil, injector, cam sensor, OCV)
  • Quoted connector replacements after harness inspection

2. Harness Modification for Manual Swaps

  • Removal of all automatic-only wiring (TCU, PRNDL, solenoids)
  • Repurposing and relabeling circuits for manual inputs
  • Integration of a dedicated fuse box—no reliance on chassis wiring

3. Simplified Vehicle Integration

  • Installation of a multi-pin client plug (like a car stereo harness)
  • Starter, ignition, and fuel pump power wires pre-wired
  • Dashboard signals: tachometer, temperature, oil pressure, charge light, and CEL
  • Optional A/C compressor clutch trigger

4. OBD2 & Accelerator Pedal Support

  • OBD2 port added for live diagnostics and reflashing
  • Accelerator pedal extension harness (or throttle-body sensor wiring) for seamless connection

5. Emissions & 4×4 Options

  • Air Injection: retain wiring or delete circuits & suppress codes ($150)
  • 4×4 Actuator Integration: adds wiring for 4WD actuator logic ($80)

🧠 ECU Programming Services

Immobilizer Removal Bypasses factory security—always included

DTC Removal Clears non-essential codes to prevent unwanted CELs $140

Performance Tune Separate map for sharper throttle response and optimized fuel/ignition $100   Air Injection Delete (ECU) Suppresses air injection codes delete $150

Our performance tune is tailored for swap applications—improving throttle response, smoothing idle, and enhancing drivability without altering peak power.

🧪 Testing & Documentation

Before we ship, every harness and ECU undergoes:

  • Live bench test on our engine stand
  • Full DTC scan to confirm code-free operation
  • Recorded walkthrough and test-run video
  • A shared folder with:
    • Test-run video
    • Harness photos
    • ECU calibration information
    • Installation notes
    • Shipping & tracking info

You receive all documentation before invoicing—no surprises.

2UZ VVT-i OEM ECU Reliability

All the 2UZ ecu's have no trouble with hardware. These ECU are programmable and are not subject to leaking capacitors or actual natural physical damage. If you feel rough shifting this is not a failure from the hardware. You can simply get your ECU flashed with either an updated or a fresh file

Additional Information

The 2UZ-FE VVT-i Engine

All 2UZ-FE engines produced after 2007 are equipped with Variable Valve Timing, commonly known as VVTi. This intelligent system manages nearly all vital engine parameters: throttle position, coolant temperature, air volume, and more. Utilizing this data, it adjusts the intake camshaft timing to enhance engine performance and efficiency across low, mid, and high rpm ranges. Another notable feature is the plastic intake manifold with an adjustable intake port length, regulated by Toyota's Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS). This system operates with two intake port lengths: a longer one for low engine speeds and a shorter one for higher speeds.

Within the 2UZ-FE VVTi engine, newly designed lightweight pistons and oil jets are installed in the cylinder block for cooling. The compression ratio has been increased to 10.0:1 to optimize fuel combustion. By 2010, the 2UZ-FE VVTi had fully replaced the previous engine model. However, starting in 2008, the 4.7-liter engine began a gradual phase-out, being superseded by the newer 5.7-liter 3UR-FE and 4.6-liter 1UR-FE engines.
